Continuing Education (CE)

Registered Veterinary Technicians are outstanding in their field. Maintaining their first-rate education and skills requires a commitment to staying current on industry techniques and innovations. Continuing Education represents their dedication to doing just that.

Not only are RVTs enhancing their personal professional standing, they are also satisfying their responsibility as an RVT to obtain 20 CE credits per 24 month period.

What you NEED to know:

  • All RVTs must obtain 20 CE credits per 24 month period
  • The “CE Collection Period” refers to the two years an RVT has to obtain CE 
  • Random CE audits will be conducted each year by the OAVT. RVTs must keep a record of all original CE certificates for four years.
