Supporting RVT Health and Wellbeing

Guelph, ON

Last week the OAVT was saddened to hear of the death of an RVT member of our community. We extend our deepest condolences and sympathies to the friends, family, colleagues, and fellow RVTs impacted.

The Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians must continue to promote and support veterinary teams’ health and wellness. There is no one solution and the OAVT Board of Directors has set aside some time at their upcoming meeting on October 22nd for thoughtful conversation to engage in the difficult but necessary work of eliminating stigma, building resilience, providing resources, and taking tangible action to prevent the further deterioration of the health and wellbeing of Registered Veterinary Technicians.

Please take some time to explore the following resources, share them with your teams, and don’t hesitate to call upon them anytime.
