Caring For Your Companion Like They Care For You

Spencer Creek Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician who enjoys combining excellent patient care with meaningful client relationships.

We are an independently owned practice providing general medicine, surgery, and rehabilitation services for companion animals, including exotics. Professional judgment, thoughtful communication, and strong relationships with patients, clients, and colleagues are fundamental to excellent veterinary care.

We are recruiting to support a planned maternity leave beginning early 2027. The successful candidate will join our team upon selection, providing time to become established in the role before a planned increase to full-time coverage toward the end of the year. Continued practice growth may create additional long-term opportunities.

The Position

Responsibilities combine patient care, client communication, surgery, diagnostics, administration, and day-to-day hospital operations.

Our technicians remain involved throughout the client experience, from the first conversation through discharge, because continuity strengthens client relationships, improves communication, and supports better patient care. Rather than separating technical and reception responsibilities, our team shares responsibility for guiding clients through their pet’s care. Building trust, educating clients, adapting communication, and helping owners make informed decisions are all considered core parts of practicing sound veterinary medicine.

This role is best suited to an established professional who exercises sound professional judgment, communicates calmly and professionally, takes ownership of their work, values thoughtful medicine and continued professional development, and recognizes that every patient, client, and situation is unique.

Compensation

  • Full-time opportunity
  • Hourly wage starting at $25.00 (commensurate with experience)
  • Health benefits
  • Continuing education support
  • Registration dues
  • Uniform allowance
  • Staff discount program
  • No overnight, holiday, or on-call shifts
