Our Bluewater Veterinary Emergency Clinic (BVEC) is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Practice Manager to join our team. Position Summary: As the BVEC Practice Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of our emergency clinic during weekend shifts. You will lead a team of doctors, veterinary technicians, and support staff to ensure the highest standards of patient care, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of veterinary practices and procedures.

Responsibilities:

-Provide leadership and direction to veterinary staff during weekend shifts
-Oversee the scheduling of staff and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts
-Coordinate patient care, including triage, treatment, and discharge procedures
-Manage client relations, including addressing concerns and ensuring exceptional service
-Monitor inventory levels and coordinate supply orders as needed
-Collaborate with the Clinic Directors to implement policies and procedures
-Maintain accurate records and documentation related to patient care and clinic operations
-Participate in staff training and development initiatives

Qualifications:

-Post-Secondary Managerial certification (preferred)
-Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role (preferred)
-Previous experience in a veterinary clinic setting is highly desirable
-Strong leadership and team-building skills
-Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
-Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
-Ability to work weekends and holidays required, as well as being able to work independently during the week
