A leadership opportunity within a growing, locally owned urgent care hospital

BayVETS Urgent Care Collingwood is seeking a motivated and experienced Operations Manager to help lead our team as we continue to grow.

This role is ideal for a Registered Veterinary Technician ready to step into leadership, or an experienced veterinary office/practice manager looking to be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking hospital.

Who We Are

We are a locally owned, independent urgent care veterinary hospital that has been successfully serving our community for over a year. Our model is designed to provide efficient, high-quality out of hours care while supporting both our patients and the broader veterinary community when their family veterinarian is closed. Our goal is to provide efficient and accessible veterinary care without the  ER wait. We operate M-F  6pm-10pm,  Weekends and holidays 8am-8pm.

About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership position where you will work closely with the ownership group and clinical team to support both day-to-day operations and long-term growth. You will play a central role in keeping the hospital running smoothly while helping to maintain a positive, well-supported team environment. We practice Free Fear medicine, hands free x-rays and strive for high quality care while meeting the needs of clients where they are.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily hospital operations
Support and maintain a positive, respectful team culture
Staff scheduling, recruitment support, and team coordination
Payroll and HR-related administration
Inventory management and ordering
Financial tracking and operational planning
Regular communication with shareholders and participation in leadership meetings
Support client communication and overall service experience

Who We Are Looking For

RVT ready to transition into a leadership role or experienced veterinary office/practice manager
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Interest in both people leadership and business operations
A practical, solutions-focused mindset

Position Details

Full-time position
Hybrid on-site and remote work
Includes some evening and weekend shifts
No overnight responsibilities
Anticipated start date: May 2026

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $75,000–$85,000 per year + based on experience
Health and dental benefits
Continuing Education (CE) allowance and home office expense
