Management options for feline diabetes mellitus have never looked so promising! Medical care for diabetic cats has moved from the
limited options of insulin and a low carbohydrate diet to insulin, SGLT-2 inhibitors and/or novel diets targeted to safely treat obesity
and diabetes concurrently. Monitoring and management has been transformed. In this seminar, we will explore these new options for
treatment, monitoring and management, focusing on the role of the veterinary technician in caregiver support and patient care.
