Wellington Animal Hospital is a privately owned, well‑established small animal hospital in Woodstock, and we’re excited to welcome a new Registered Veterinary Technician to our wonderful team. Key Responsibilities
Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and patient recovery
Dental prophylaxis and digital dental radiography
Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, administering medications, and providing nursing care
Laboratory procedures and sample testing using our in‑house IDEXX analyzers
Digital radiography
RVT appointments (nail trims, suture removal, vaccine boosters, nutrition counselling, medication injections, etc.)
Work-Life Balance & Schedule
To support a healthy work-life balance, our last appointment of the day is booked one hour before closing, and we strive to have all staff leave on time.
Weekly Schedule:
Monday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Tuesday: Rotating shifts — 8:30–5:00, 10:30–7:00, 11:30–8:00
Wednesday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
We are closed weekends and there is no on‑call.
Requirements
Must be an RVT in good standing with the OAVT, or a recent graduate planning to write the VTNE
Clinical experience preferred
Knowledge of Cornerstone is an asset
