THE CAPACITY CIRCLE

A three-month psychoeducational group for animal care professionals in Ontario

Capacity is not the same as capability. You can be fully capable of doing the work and still not have the physical, emotional, cognitive or social resources available to keep meeting every demand at the same level.

The Capacity Circle was created to help animal care professionals better understand their energy, recognize when it’s being stretched, and respond more intentionally before they’re running on empty.

WHAT IS THE CAPACITY CIRCLE?

The Capacity Circle is a small, online psychoeducational group led by Registered Social Worker, Angie Arora. Over three months, we’ll combine practical learning, guided reflection and conversations with others who understand the realities of animal care work.

WHO IS IT FOR?

It’s open to anyone working in animal care, in any role. You must be a resident of Ontario, Canada to join. This group is especially relevant if you’re feeling stretched, carrying more than usual, having a harder time recovering, or noticing you have less patience, focus, energy or emotional bandwidth than you used to.

WHAT WILL WE COVER?

Recognize when your capacity is starting to shift
Identify what’s draining your energy
Understand why your capacity changes from day to day
Build the ability to know what you need
Respond earlier, before you’re running on empty
Recover in ways that actually restore your capacity

IS THIS GROUP THERAPY?

No. The Capacity Circle combines education, reflection and group discussion. It is not group therapy, and you will never be expected to share more than feels comfortable.

WHEN DOES IT RUN?

Tuesdays | 6:30–7:45 PM Eastern | Online

November 3 & 17
December 1 & 15
January 5 & 19

Deadline to register is October 24, 2026

WHAT HAPPENS BETWEEN SESSIONS?

Integration of what we’re learning is key between sessions. You’ll have access to an optional, private WhatsApp group for connection and discussion. You’ll also receive micro learning videos. There is no expectation to be constantly active or available, and the group is not intended to provide crisis or ongoing clinical support.

WHAT IS THE INVESTMENT?

$975 CAD + HST

Payment plans are available. If your extended health benefits cover social work services, you may be eligible for reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so please check with your benefits provider.

HOW DO I EXPRESS INTEREST IN JOINING?

Complete a short Interest Form. If you decide to move forward, I’ll send you the participant agreement and payment details to confirm your spot. If you have any questions, please be in touch!

I’m really looking forward to having this space where we can talk about capacity in a way that actually makes sense in real life, especially in animal care.
