Website Arnold Crescent Animal Hospital

Privately-owned, Family-run

Arnold Crescent Animal Hospital is a privately owned, family-run veterinary hospital that has been part of the Richmond Hill community since 1988.  We’re a little old school in the ways that matter.  Knowing our clients, knowing our patients, taking pride in our work, while embracing modern medicine, technology and the tools that allow us to provide better care. We’re located in historic downtown Richmond Hill, just west of Yonge Street, in the same converted century home where we’ve built our practice and our community over the years.

What makes ACAH different?

We believe in giving our RVTs the opportunity to use their education, experience and clinical skills. Our RVTs work closely with our veterinarians and are involved in cases from start to finish.

This can include:

Anesthesia and surgical monitoring
Dental procedures and radiography
Laboratory diagnostics
Radiology
Patient monitoring and nursing care
Nutrition
In-hospital treatment and hospitalized patient care
Client education
Assisting with complex medical cases
Pain management
Utilizing newer treatment technologies and equipment
Helping develop and improve patient-care protocols

About us:

We’ve grown considerably since opening our doors in 1988, but we’ve intentionally remained a privately owned, independent practice. We’re a busy, full-service hospital offering medical, surgical and dental care, as well as advanced services such as cryosurgery, endoscopy and laser therapy. We care for dogs and cats, and pocket pets (including rabbits, guinea pigs, etc.)

We’re also deeply connected to our community.

We support local charities and rescue organizations, participate in fundraising initiatives, and sponsor local sports teams. We believe that being a veterinary hospital means being part of the community we’re in, not simply operating in it.

Who we’re looking for:

We’re looking for an experienced RVT who:

Is confident in their technical and nursing skills
Enjoys being hands-on
Wants to utilize the full scope of their RVT training
Can work independently while knowing when to ask for help
Has strong communication skills
Takes pride in patient care
Has a flexible schedule (able to work some evenings and weekends)
Is comfortable working in a busy general practice environment
Wants to build long-term relationships with clients and patients
Is kind, reliable and genuinely enjoys working with animals
Wants to be part of a team rather than simply clock in and clock out
What we offer

Full-time position
Privately owned and operated hospital
Small doctor-to-RVT ratio
Opportunity to utilize your full RVT skill set
Variety of medical and surgical cases
Modern equipment and technology
Supportive, experienced veterinary team
A genuinely community-minded workplace
Opportunities for professional development and continuing education
A workplace where your experience and opinions are valued
If you’re looking for a privately owned practice with a big heart, experienced doctors, modern medicine, a close-knit team and the opportunity to actually practice as an RVT,  we may be exactly what you’re looking for.

If you’re an experienced RVT who has reached the point in your career where you want to be trusted, challenged and allowed to actually use your skills, we’d love to hear from you. Apply with your resume and tell us a little about yourself and what you’re looking for in your next hospital.  AI is not used in the hiring process
