Science over tradition: moving towards evidence-based and sustainable internal parasite control in beef cattle production

October 10, 2024

Presented by Dr. John Gilleard

Traditional approaches to gastrointestinal parasite control in cattle have relied on the routine application of anthelmintic and endectocide products, often without assessing their necessity or effectiveness. However, the emergence of anthelmintic resistance and growing environmental concerns are rendering this approach unsustainable and increasingly less acceptable to consumers.

In this webcast, Dr. John Gilleard will provide an update on anthelmintic resistance, diagnostic tests, and the latest research and insights on evidence-based sustainable parasite control in beef cattle.
