What sector do you work in?
Within the profession, I work in data mapping and with the RRP. Outside of the profession, I work for a not-for-profit organization focused on affordable housing projects.
What is the best career advice someone has given you?
If you don’t completely qualify for a position but are interested, apply anyway. Do not self-reject yourself. It never hurts to have a conversation.
What are your hopes for the RVT profession?
I am hopeful that the changes in legislation will allow RVTs to practice to the fullest extent of their capabilities.
What are your goals for your term on the OAVT Board of Directors?
Some of the goals that I look to achieve during my term on the Board of Directors include:
1)Assisting the Enhancing Professional Care for Animals Act’s movement through legislation
2)Continuing to support the organization as Chair of an important OAVT Committee
3)Investigating unique employment opportunities that utilize the skills and experience of RVTs
