Registered Veterinary Technician

We are a privately-owned, small animal hospital looking for the right person to join our fantastic team!  We focus on quality medicine, compassionate patient care, and developing strong relationships with our clients and their pets.   We offer a positive, inclusive and supportive work environment.

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Technician who truly loves what they do! In this role, you will use your skills in anesthesia induction and monitoring, dentistry, venipuncture, catheter placement, nursing care, laboratory procedures, in-house diagnostics, and radiology.

You will also use your strong communication skills to provide nutritional guidance, medication instructions, and post-surgical care information to clients both in person and over the phone. From time to time, you will support our front-of-house team by answering incoming calls and billing out clients, helping ensure a smooth and positive client experience.

We are anticipating 25-35 hours to start.   The number of hours may also vary based on seasonal needs, staff holiday coverage and hospital growth.

This position will include weekday and some Saturday shifts between the hours of:

Mondays 8am to 6pm

Tuesdays 8am to 6pm

Wednesdays:   8am to 8pm

Thursdays:  8am to 6pm

Fridays:   8am to 6pm

Saturdays:  9am – 2pm

We offer competitive wages ($25-$30/hour), with pay dependent on experience.  Our candidate must be a Registered Veterinary Technician in good standing with the OAVT.  Work experience in a clinic setting is preferred.   Knowledge of the AVImark system is a plus.
