Veterinary Emergency Clinic

The Veterinary Emergency Clinic located in the heart of Downtown Toronto has exciting an exiting opportunity for an RVT to take on our training program.

As a Lead/trainer RVT, your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement training plans for new hires
  • Oversee training of RVT’s and ACA’s (oversee Lead ACA trainers)
  • Promote team building by actively participating in staff development
  • Identify areas for growth and improvement
  • Provide training guidance and feedback to others
  • Provide one on one training and group training (CE, workshops, etc)
  • Serve as a mentor to RVTs and ACAs, and identify growth opportunities and educational needs for staff
  • Promote critical thinking among staff, and show commitment to professional development and lifelong learning

  • $25-$39/hour – salary is based on experience (earn an additional premium for VTS)

We are looking for someone who can lead by example as well as maintain a positive and nurturing attitude. Our ideal candidate must also be able to provide mentorship and create a positive learning environment and opportunities for career growth and staff development. Other qualifications include:

  • Training/mentorship experience and strong leadership skills
  • RVT Status is required
  • VTS certification is desired but not required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Passion for animal care and professional team building
  • Ability to work independently and in a team based environment
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Experience in a ER/Referral or large practice is desired
