Schedule:

• M-TH 8a – 6p
• NO WEEKENDS!
• NO ON CALL!

Compensation: Starting from $28 – can increase based on knowledge & experience

Surgery RVT Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate care to patients and clients in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform radiographs and bandage changes.
• Calculate drug dosages, create anesthetic protocols, and administer CRIs.
• Place catheters (peripheral and urinary) and perform blood draws.
• Utilize your anesthesia expertise and be open to learning new techniques.
• Manage multi-modal pain relief methods (e.g., epidurals, nerve blocks).
• Communicate effectively within a team and work independently when needed.
• Take initiative and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Maintain a sense of humor and positive attitude.

Requirements:

• Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician in good standing with OAVT.
• Strong skills in anesthesia and willingness to learn advanced techniques.
• Experience in multi-modal pain management.
• Proficient in radiography and bandage changes.
• Comfortable with drug dosage calculations and creating anesthetic protocols.
• Skilled in catheter placement and blood draws.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and provide top-notch patient care.
• Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role.
