Lexington Rd. Animal Hospital, located in Waterloo, ON., has an opportunity for a Full-time (flexible shifts), dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our collaborative team. While our network is large, we still offer that local community feeling, mentorship, and additional training!
- Completed a Veterinary Technician, eligible to register
- Technical skills or knowledge of physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy.
- Surgical preparation, assisting and patient recovery
- Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records
- Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients and their pet parents
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to problem-solve or the ability to ask clarifying questions to help you find solutions
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents
- Passion to learn more within the role
- A love for all companion animals!!
About us: Lexington Animal Hospital is a bright, renovated, fully equipped clinic with the latest technology equipment for digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, ultrasound, and therapeutic lasers. We are open Monday to Friday 8-6:30 and Saturday 8:30-noon. Our after-hours care is handled by the region’s emergency clinic. Our experienced team provides a calm, professional, supportive mentoring environment. We welcome students and recent grads throughout the year to join our team!
