Registered Veterinary Technician

Alta Vista Animal Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our established network of highly skilled professionals. You will have an opportunity to use your skills to the fullest potential! Our RVTs are given the necessary tools and resources to be successful in pursuing multiple passions within our hospital. You will have opportunities to expand your learning through extensive exposure and involvement to many specialty cases. Additional qualifications and attributes you must embrace to be successful in this role;

• Minimum of 3 years as a practicing RVT
• Previous surgical experience desired
• Organize daily bookings and prepare caseload file information for
• Veterinarians and surgery team
• Point of contact between Veterinarian, Pet Owner and specialty departments
• Experience with and willing to enhance technical skills; anesthesia, CRI’s, epidurals and mechanical ventilators
• Work closely with the ICU team and treatment team and assist where necessary
• Ability to thrive in a steady and often fast paced environment
• Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues
• Proven ability to keep accurate patient records
• Strong ability to problem-solve
