Veterinary Hospital Manager

Oshawa Animal Hospital is announcing a new and exciting career opportunity for an experienced veterinary client service professional to become an integral part of our leadership team as a Hospital Manager.
In collaboration with the Regional Director and in close partnership with the Medical Director, the Hospital Manager will assume a pivotal role in overseeing a wide spectrum of administrative functions within the practice. Our ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing leadership and fostering the development of a dynamic team committed to delivering top-tier veterinary services to our cherished patients and pet owners.
This role demands a combination of strong organizational and administrative aptitude along with a vibrant and approachable personality to effectively meet hospital objectives and associated milestones. Key responsibilities and qualifications for this role include:
- Customer Service and Financial Budget Management: Demonstrated experience with 2 to 3 years in providing exceptional customer service and proficiently managing financial budgets.
- Proficiency in administrative skills, encompassing staff scheduling, document management, recordkeeping, report generation, and overseeing office logistics (equipment, supplies, forms, procedures)
- Leadership aptitude: marked by the ability to nurture relationships among team members, offer coaching opportunities, and work collaboratively to achieve superior patient care and exceptional client service
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, facilitating effective, friendly & dynamic communication with colleagues, pet parents, and the local community
- Adaptability, with the capacity to embrace change in a rapidly evolving multifaceted client service and animal healthcare environment
- Change management skills, including the ability to steer and oversee positive changes in processes, personnel, and growth
- A dedication to the positive representation of the hospital and VCA Canada within the professional community and to our valued clients
- Oversight of the hiring, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and terminations of professional staff, as per the guidance and approval of the Regional Management team
