404 Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital is welcoming a full-time RVT to join our Emergency team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, team-oriented, motivated individual that will be inspired to work with a highly varied, exciting, and unique caseload. Our team is prepared to support you as you train and adapt to our practice.
You will have the opportunity to be involved in specialized procedures using state-of-the-art equipment and to develop your skills in veterinary emergency and ICU care. Our success lies in our willingness to help each other to achieve great patient outcomes.
- Registered Veterinary Technician in Ontario
- Preference is given to those with experience as an RVT however, we’ll also consider enthusiastic and motivated new graduates working towards the RVT status & keen to learn and develop
- Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records
- Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients and their pet parents
- Ability to problem-solve or the ability to ask clarifying questions to help you find solutions
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents
- Time-management skills, critical thinking, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
- Consistently safe and effective patient-handling skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility in rotational schedules along with members of the emergency team
The emergency team works on a rotational schedule including overnights and weekends. This allows for even distribution of the shifts and an overall improved hospital experience. Our specialists also participate in providing after-hours support to our emergency team.
