Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working as a veterinary technician in a clinical setting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting our veterinarians in providing exceptional care to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in routine examinations, surgeries, and procedures
- Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and fecal analysis
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
- Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
- Educate clients on proper pet care and medication administration
- Monitor patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a registered veterinary technician.
- Certification as a registered veterinary technician and in good standing with the OAVT
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in handling and restraining animals of all sizes
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends
