Thousand Islands Veterinary Services

We know that in today’s RVT job market all ads start looking the same. We also know that what is most important to you, might not be the same as someone else. If either this ad is TL;DR or if we missed something important to you, please feel free to email us at: TracyRVT@thousandislandsvet.ca.  We’d love to chat to see how this position might fit your life and career goals!

Description: Are you an experienced Rock Star RVT looking for a clinic that offers you a great work/life balance while also providing high quality medicine in an environment where you can use all of those amazing skills and continue to develop new ones? Are you a new grad from a veterinary technician program who would love mentorship and a supportive and caring workplace that will help you to reach your career goals? Maybe you are somewhere in the middle? Send us your resume; we’d love to talk to you about how you could fit in with our amazing team! Providing a rewarding, fun, respectful workplace where someone can grow their career and be compensated well is something that has always been important to us. This career is not an easy one, so we want to surround ourselves with supportive and positive, fun-loving people.

Thousand Islands Veterinary Services is a quick 20 minute drive east of Kingston and 30 minutes west of Brockville in beautiful Gananoque. We are a companion animal hospital and pride ourselves on the quality of our medicine, our relationships with each other and our clients, and how we treat our staff. With our most recent hire being a Veterinarian who is very interested in exotics, we now offer care to a wide range of exotic pets as well! We love to teach and support people new to the career of veterinary medicine. We’re fully equipped with: in-house laboratory and blood analyzer machines, surgical suite, dental suite, digital X-ray (dental included), ultrasound, and therapeutic laser. We have 3 doctors, but usually have 2 working in clinic at a time. Several of our RVTs work a 4 day work week and we’d be open to discussing that as well. We have weekly staff meetings where everyone is heard and has input. Sometimes these staff meetings include games and prizes to keep things fun and keep our team feeling cohesive and valued. We also try to do periodic group outings like Paint Nites, or Escape Rooms, etc. Check out our clinic Facebook page to see some photos from previous events.
