We are a family owned, non-corporate veterinary hospital located in Thorndale, 10 minutes from north London. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our friendly team . We are a pet-centered clinic where the needs of our patients are the most important aspect of our work. We have full complement of receptionist and animal care attendant staffing to assist you.

Duties:

– Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
– Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures. We use the in-house IDEXX SediVue, Catalyst, & ProCyte One
– Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
– Monitor animal patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
– Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
– Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
– Supervise animal care attendants
– Handle animals safely and compassionately to minimize stress during examinations and treatments.

Requirements:

– Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician program .
– Certification or licensure as a Registered Veterinary Technician.
– Experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital setting.
– Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine.
– Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
– Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
– Compassionate nature with a genuine love for animals.
