About Us: Thames Valley Animal Hospital is a brand new clinic in Chatham (June 2024) and we are looking to expand our team. We are dedicated to providing affordable, compassionate and comprehensive care for our furry patients and their families. We’re open 7 days a week and are committed to work-life balance, offering a 4-day work week with alternating weekends.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or a Graduate Veterinary Technician who is working towards licensure to join our team. This role involves a variety of responsibilities including client interactions, anesthesia, diagnostics, and more. If you’re passionate about animal care and are looking to work in a supportive and dynamic environment, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate care and client education
- Administer anesthesia and assist in monitoring during procedures
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results
- Ensure the well-being and comfort of all patients
Qualifications:
- Current RVT license or a graduate veterinary technician working towards licensure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is preferred, but not required
