Registered Veterinary Technician – New Independently Owned Hospital

Star Veterinary Hospital is an Independently owned – brand new modern facility located on Bathurst Street in the vibrant Fort York community. We are starting as a one doctor practice with 2 exam rooms, in-house laboratory and modern surgery and dental suites. The equipment is new and chosen to make your day easier and to allow your talents to shine.

We are looking for the RVT that is fun and loves providing pets with quality medicine and clients with amazing service.

#1 requirement:

The ability to provide best practice veterinary medicine and aid in the growth and development our community veterinary hospital.

That combined with great attention to:

• Communication and client education
• Organization and record keeping
• Gentle handling of patients while in our care.
• Pride in the cleanliness and appearance of the Hospital.
• Technical skills such as blood and urine collection, cytology and microscope skills, use and maintenance of in house laboratory machines, dental and full body X-ray, procedures such as dental cleaning, placing IV catheters, preparing patients for surgery, monitoring general anesthesia and recovering patients.
• Maintenance of equipment and instruments

Of course being fear-free certified is an asset but not a requirement. We can help you become certified if you are interested.

Scheduling:

Flexible hours Monday – Friday and as the clinic grows availability for sharing Saturday shifts.
