Caring For Your Companion Like They Care For You

Are you a skilled Registered Veterinary Technician who loves connecting with clients as much as caring for animals? We’re looking for an experienced, detail-oriented professional to join our team in a part-time role that combines technical veterinary support with front-line client service and administrative responsibilities.

At Spencer Creek Animal Hospital, we believe in compassionate, individualized care for every patient. We’re an independently owned, community-focused practice offering small animal and exotic medicine and surgery, as well as mobile and rehabilitation services — making our work dynamic, diverse, and deeply rewarding. We take pride in building lasting relationships with our clients and contributing to the wellbeing of our community.

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you’ll play a dual role:

  • Providing hands-on support with patient care, treatments, and procedures
  • Acting as a front-line representative of our clinic — welcoming clients, managing appointments, and keeping operations running smoothly

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys the variety of both clinical and administrative work, and thrives in a collaborative, client-focused environment. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring both the clinical and client sides of our practice operate efficiently and with care.

We especially welcome applications from experienced RVTs who bring years of hands-on skill, maturity, and professionalism to their work. Whether you have spent years in clinical practice or are returning to the field after time away, you will find a supportive, respectful environment that appreciates and values your experience and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a positive, welcoming atmosphere for clients, patients, and team members alike
  • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, procedures, and patient care
  • Communicate effectively with clients — in person, by phone, and by email — and assist with scheduling, billing, and medical inquiries
  • Maintain accurate patient records and help coordinate daily workflow to keep our busy days organized and efficient

Qualifications

  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a veterinary practice
  • Team player with a positive, compassionate, and community-minded approach
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Excellent client communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Comfortable using veterinary management software and general office tools
  • Interest or experience in exotic or rehabilitation medicine is a strong asset

Schedule & Compensation

  • Part-time: 25–30 hours per week
  • Competitive hourly wage based on experience, starting at $25/hour
  • Opportunities for continuing education and professional development

How to Apply

Please send your resume and a brief cover letter to spencercreek.applicants@gmail.com, telling us why you’d be a great fit for our team.
