Southgate Animal Hospital is a privately owned small animal clinic. We are a fun team who take great pride in a positive, supportive work environment. Daily laughs are a must. Compensation

  • $26-27/hr depending on level of experience
  • Full time: 4 x 10 hour days or 5 x 8 hours days, your preference. Shared Saturdays (8-noon).
  • 3 weeks paid holidays, 3 paid sick days

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited veterinary technology program
  • Passed VTNE
  • Licensed as a Registered Veterinary Technician
  • Strong technical skills, including anesthetic monitoring, proficiency in laboratory procedures and radiology

 

Role

  • Advocate for patient care. Do you think a patient needs something more, do you have a suggested anesthetic of pain management protocol? We want to hear your input!
  • Caring for hospitalized patients, administering medications
  • Anesthetizing patients, monitoring
  • Performing dental scaling & polishing and dental radiographs
  • Performing urinalyses, cytology, in house blood work, radiographs
  • Assisting veterinarians in appointments
  • Coordinating patient referrals to specialists
