Simcoe Veterinary Hospital

Are you ready to be the Jimmy Page of the Veterinary World?

At Simcoe Veterinary Hospital, we’re not just a team; we’re a band! And we’re looking for a lead guitarist – ahem, a Registered Veterinary Technician – to rock out with us. If you’re passionate about animals, love a good cat joke, and can skillfully handle anything from a Chihuahua to a Great Dane, you might just be our next star!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play lead guitar on all veterinary procedures (figuratively speaking, of course). Real instruments not required, but air guitar skills are a plus!
  • Be the Mick Jagger of client education – charismatic, knowledgeable, and maybe with better dance moves.
  • Assist our veterinarians (aka the band managers) in orchestrating the perfect care plan for our furry clients.
  • Conduct lab work with the precision of a drum solo – timely, accurate, and sometimes loud.
  • Ensure our human and animal guests feel like they’re a band VIP.

What Makes You the Ideal Band Member?

  • Certification as an RVT – it’s like having a platinum record in pet care.
  • A sense of humor that makes even grumpy cats laugh.
  • A compassionate heart, because sometimes we meet pets who’ve had a “ruff” day.
  • Ability to juggle – not literally, unless you can, which would be awesome – multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Superstar communication skills: Can you explain a diet plan as clearly as singing your favorite chorus?

Perks of Joining Our Band:

  • Work only 4 days a week at our AAHA accredited, Fear Free hospital – spend the other 3 starting a real band, or maybe just binge-watching your favorite series.
  • A backstage pass to the latest in veterinary technology.
  • Ongoing education – think of it as constantly releasing new albums.
  • A supportive audience (our team) who cheers you on, every step of the way.
  • And of course – Paid OAVT Dues, Vacation, Personal Wellness days, Team outings, free pet care, monthly bonuses…and so much more!

If you’re ready to take center stage (or at least center clinic) and join a group of passionate, fun-loving animal care professionals, send us your resume. Bonus points if you include a video of your best air guitar performance (just kidding… unless you really want to!).
