Medication administration/blood collection from race horses

Racing Forensics is hiring a part-time Registered Veterinary Technician for equine venipuncture at Clinton Raceway.

Shifts are approximately 4 – 5.5 hours, depending on the number of scheduled races and are available on Sunday afternoons from June to September.

Training will be provided. Excellent compensation.

Duties

  • Collect blood samples from horses and/or administer IV medication
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure chain-of-custody of samples
  • Complete official documentation and record

Skills/Experience

  • Registered Veterinary Technicians
  • Experience working with horses
  • Proficient in phlebotomy
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
