***Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, excellent technical skills, the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently and has a commitment to delivering outstanding veterinary services.
***Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians with examinations (including exotics), surgeries (including laparoscopic surgeries), and other medical procedures
Perform diagnostic tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and radiography
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures and perform dentistry
Provide compassionate care and support to patients and their owners
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Educate clients on topics such as nutrition, preventive care, and medication administration
***Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited veterinary technology program.
Licensed as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) with the OAVT.
Strong technical skills, including proficiency in diagnostic imaging and laboratory procedures.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience with exotics and Avimark an asset but not required.
***Schedule:
Monday to Saturday availability – approx. 37 hours
