Large Animal Veterinary Clinic
Oxford Bovine is a progressive large animal veterinary clinic, servicing southwestern Ontario’s agricultural community. We have a highly specialized team of veterinarians and support staff. We are located in the heart of Oxford County amongst a growing and vibrant agriculture community.
We are seeking to add another registered veterinary technician to our team. The ideal candidate would be motivated with attention to detail and a team-oriented personality. Prior experience in the dairy industry or working with large animals would be an asset, but we are willing to mentor the right personality.
The position does not include any on-call requirements or weekend work. Normal hours are 7:30 am to 3:30 pm but are flexible. Other benefits include a health benefit package, clothing allowance and an allowance for continuing education.
This is both an office and on-farm position, with an equal distribution of both.
In clinic duties include but are not limited to: preparing samples for off-site testing, written client correspondence, answering client questions, assisting walk-in clients.
On farm duties include but are not limited to: calf dehorning, calf health monitoring, sample collection, assisting in the treatment of sick calves on farm (ie hook up IV fluids, bandage and cast placement).
Must have own reliable transportation.
