Milton Equine Hospital, an equine surgical referral centre, is looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team.
Our ideal applicant is Registered Veterinary Technician who is an energetic and enthusiastic individual with experience handling horses of all types. Job training will be provided but previous horse experience is necessary. New are grads welcome.
Our clinic operates Monday to Friday, typically between the hours of 7am and 7pm. No weekends or overnight shifts. Shared health benefit package available after a three month probation period.
Key areas of responsibility include but are not limited to: comprehensive patient care including thorough physical exams, maintain patient records, administer medications, collection and processing of blood samples, aid in diagnostic testing, sterile preparation of patients for surgery, set up surgical suite, anesthesia, assist veterinarians with procedures (x-rays, endoscopies, surgeries etc.), monitor patients, and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
