Mariposa Veterinary Hospital is independently owned and operated and proud to provide veterinary services for dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs and other small mammals in the Orillia area. We are a small team that values a positive work environment. No weekends, no overnights or on-call.

We are searching for an experienced and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team our wonderful team.

Our vision is a team-based approach to excellent patient and client care, and is focused on preventative care, soft tissue and dental surgery, and care for sick pets.

Our newly updated facility is spacious and has digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, in house labs and multimodal anaesthetic monitoring.

The ideal candidate is confident and experienced in blood draws, catheterizations, surgical/anaesthetic monitoring, dental prophylaxis, patient care, and client communication and education. They will also have strong client and team communication skills, excellent organizational skills and a positive attitude! Aside from the day-to-day responsibilities, we are seeking someone that will help maintain and foster a positive culture and work environment.

Experience with rabbits and small mammals is an asset, however mentorship can be provided in this area.

We are offering a competitive salary, paid OAVT dues, a generous CE allowance, uniform allowance and pet care benefits. With long-term commitment, there is an opportunity to be supported for VTS certification if interested.
