Website Mariposa Veterinary Hospital

Mariposa Veterinary Hospital is independently owned and operated and proud to provide veterinary services for dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs and other small mammals in the Orillia area. We are a small team that values a positive work environment. No weekends, no overnights or on-call.

We’re looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Technician who’s ready to bring their skills, compassion, and great attitude to our wonderful team.

Start Date: December 2025/Jan 2026

Our practice focuses on a team-based approach to preventative medicine, soft tissue and dental surgery, and high-quality care for sick pets.

Our newly updated facility is spacious and has digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, in house labs and multimodal anesthetic monitoring.

You’ll thrive here if you’re confident and experienced with:

  • Blood draws and catheter placement
  • Client communication and education
  • Anesthetic induction and monitoring
  • Dental radiographs, scaling and polish
  • Patient triage and nursing care
  • Staying organized and communicating clearly with both clients and teammates

Just as important: you bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and want to help keep our clinic an encouraging, collaborative place to work.

Experience with rabbits and small mammals is a bonus—but if you’re eager to learn, we’re happy to mentor.

We are offering competitive pay, paid OAVT dues, a generous CE allowance, uniform allowance and pet care benefits.

Are you the superhero we’re looking for?
If this sounds like your kind of clinic, we’d love to hear from you. Please send your application—or reach out with any questions!
