Kahu Animal Hospital is the combined vision of two veterinarians who have been in practice in Toronto for the past 20 years. Located in Yorkville, the clinic consists of 4 thoughtfully designed floors and centered around offering clients a truly unique concierge level experience. Throughout the 6000 sq ft of space, we have focused on creating a facility that will provide a warm and welcoming environment, extended hours to be there for our patients, the latest diagnostic technology, Casco kennels in all treatment rooms, caters to low stress visits and thoughtful high level client service. Due to the practice owners’ reputations and networks built throughout their careers, we have access to boarded surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the ability to bring in these specialist support connections to help in elevating our medicine even further. We are excited to create a space together that allows us all to return to what veterinary medicine is supposed to be about – providing care to the pets that need us and to the Kahu’s that love them just as much as we do.
We are looking for full-time RVTs to compliment our medical team.
These will be individuals who:
- Have strong capabilities in surgical anesthesia and pain management, low-stress handling, and hands-free X-ray techniques
- Are proficient in dentistry and dental X-ray techniques
- Have an area of passion, whether it be in patient care and treatment floor or client facing in the exam rooms, we want to support you in the skills you’re looking to grow even further
- Have a keen affinity for both patient triage and compassionately educating pet owners
- Demonstrate empathy towards pet owners, always assuming good intent and withholding judgment
- Will work alongside us in developing and maintaining hospital procedures that provide the best care possible to the animals in our lives and set the standard for the veterinary community to follow.
- Care about connecting with the Kahu’s of the pets that they treat, forming healthy and trusting relationships with our client base
- Communicate responsibly and with integrity, both with their teammates and clients
