Harmony Road Animal Hospital in Oshawa has a position available for a full time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).

Our hospital is a fast-growing practice in Oshawa with two full time veterinarians. We are a private companion animal practice dedicated to the well being of cats and  dogs, and fully equipped with digital X-ray, in house Idexx laboratory, Avimark practice management software with Rapport client communication software.

We are looking for hardworking, self-motivated individuals who are willing to work in all areas of the clinic including reception, treatment area, and surgery.

Key Responsibilities:

Provides compassionate care to patients and clients.
Keeps accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy.
Prepares and maintains the exam rooms and treatment areas.
Performs physical assessments and records observations.
Placing IV catheters, Collecting blood and urine samples for analysis
Surgery admission and discharge, explains required follow up and home care instructions.
Assists the Veterinarian in medical, surgical procedures; prepares patients for surgery; administers anesthesia; monitors patients during surgery and recovery; administers fluids.
Perform dental procedures in compliance with professional veterinary industry standards, employing an in-depth knowledge of dental structures, conditions, and lesions, causes and stages of diseases.
