Schedule: M,W,Th,F 8am-5pm, T 8am-7pm, Sat 8a-1pm, rotating shifts, 40 hours a week.

Edwards Veterinary Services is a well-established small animal veterinary clinic located in Tilsonburg, Ontario. Our clinic is dedicated to providing high-quality veterinary care to our patients and exceptional customer service to their owners. We are a two-doctor practice with a strong focus on preventive medicine, client education, and compassionate care.

We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. As an RVT at Edwards Veterinary Services, you will play a vital role in supporting our veterinarians and ensuring the overall well-being of our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Assisting veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarians
Conducting laboratory tests and analyzing results
Collecting and preparing samples for diagnostic tests
Performing dental cleanings and assisting with dental procedures
Monitoring anesthesia and patient recovery
Providing nursing care and monitoring hospitalized patients
Educating clients on topics such as preventive care, medication administration, and nutrition
Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records
Requirements:

Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) with a valid license in Ontario
Strong knowledge of veterinary medical procedures and terminology
Proficient in performing laboratory tests, such as blood work, urinalysis, and cytology
Experience with anesthesia monitoring and patient care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and their owners
Familiarity with Cornerstone or other veterinary software is an asset
