Davis Drive Animal Clinic is seeking a full or part-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. We are a progressive multiple DVM/RVT, team oriented, small animal practice located in Newmarket. Davis Drive Animal Clinic was established in 1977 and has been privately owned by OVC 1995 graduates Dr. Jennifer Murray and Dr. Mike Fussell since 2001. We believe our success is a direct result of our team’s commitment to going above and beyond to educate and support pet owners every day.
Key Position Details
Scheduled hours of work are approximately 20-25 (part-time) and 35 (full-time) hours per week on average and include day shifts, one evening per week and one Saturday morning per month. Our team enjoys a set schedule though some flexibility is an asset. Wages will be commensurate with experience. The position includes paid OAVT licensing dues, annual OAVT conference registration (with time away from work to attend), as well as enrollment in our OVMA group insurance program (full time position), paid vacation and wellness days, personal pet care discounts and uniforms/scrubs.
Candidate Attributes
The successful candidate will have a love for working with people as much as patients, be willing to learn and be flexible, be able to work independently as well as part of the team and have an avid interest in client education, rehabilitation medicine, laparoscopic surgery and dentistry. As part of our RVT team, we will promote your ongoing continuing education and provide mentoring and training.
Required Credentials
An Ontario RVT license in good standing and graduation from a 2 or 3 year Veterinary Technician/Technology program is a requirement to apply for this position. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Our RVT team brings a total of 46 years of invaluable experience and are eager to share their knowledge with a new team member.
