Public confidence in veterinary regulation.

The College of Veterinarians of Ontario is the regulatory body for veterinarians in the province of Ontario. The College is seeking a motivated professional to step into the role of Associate, Licensure and Investigations. This role will support the licensure and investigations program areas and will independently manage a number of interesting areas, including administering the professional corporation processes, confirming licensure status, involvement in the complaints process, and case management for remedial undertakings and fitness to practice files. This role will report to the Associate Registrar, Licensure and provide administrative assistance with a variety of areas, including communicating with key stakeholders, conducting research, maintaining electronic files, developing documents, spreadsheets and presentations, and scheduling. The Associate, Licensure and Investigations will also share occasional reception coverage with other colleagues.

The College is based in Guelph and the selected candidate will be expected to be onsite on days where reception coverage is required. The College offers remote work arrangements where staff may choose to work from home up to three days per week and from the office the remainder of the time.

The selected candidate should have a minimum of one year of administrative experience, have experience with MS Office, possess strong communication skills, be a fast learner and a hard worker. We are seeking someone with a good attitude and a professional approach to work. A Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or a law clerk or paralegal would be ideal for this role.

The College offers benefits, RRSP contributions, and a competitive starting salary.

Please forward a resume and cover letter outlining why you think you would be a good fit for this role, including your salary expectations, to Shilo Tooze, Associate Registrar, Licensure, at by January 20, 2023.

The College values diversity and encourages all qualified candidates to apply. We appreciate your application; only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
