Are you a dedicated RVT looking for an exciting opportunity to work in large animal medicine? Central Ontario Veterinary Services is seeking a skilled RVT to join our dynamic team.

About Us:

COVS is a mobile large animal practice based out of Barrie, ON. We specialize in providing top-quality veterinary services for horses and cattle across Simcoe County and surrounding areas. Our modern clinic is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, including digital radiographs, in-house lab capabilities, ultrasound, and a 3-meter endoscope.

Role Overview: 

As an RVT with COVS, you’ll work alongside our team of four veterinarians, assisting with both on-the-road and in-office tasks. Your role will be vital in delivering exceptional care to our large animal patients and supporting our growing practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians with on farm appointments.
Utilize modern diagnostic equipment and perform various veterinary procedures.
Provide excellent patient care and client communication.
Manage telephone and counter reception duties, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience for clients.
An interest in inventory management would be an asset.

Qualifications:

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) designation.
Experience handling horses and/or cattle is required; prior professional experience with these species is advantageous but not mandatory.
Strong work ethic, effective communication skills, and a collaborative attitude.
Own transportation is considered an asset.
