Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our veterinary team. The ideal candidate for this current position will assist veterinarians in providing high-quality care to animals, perform laboratory procedures, and ensure the smooth operation of the clinic. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment where animal welfare is the top priority.
Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and treatments
Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including blood work, urinalysis, and sample collection
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
Monitor patient vital signs and provide basic nursing care
Prepare animals for procedures and assist with restraint as needed
Maintain accurate medical records and document all procedures performed
Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and treatment areas to uphold infection control standards
Educate pet owners on post-treatment care and answer questions regarding animal health
Support inventory management by ordering supplies and ensuring proper storage
Experience
Previous experience working in a veterinary or animal care setting is advantageous but not mandatory
Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to animal care are essential
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
