Canine Pain Relief, a stand alone rehab centre located in the Kitchener-Waterloo region, is looking for a part-time, temporary RVT, or RVT with rehab experience to assist and work with rehab patients and to help with daily activities of the rehab centre. There is possibility of a permanent part-time position.

The position would run the month of March, with 3 shifts a week (Tuesday- Friday, two daytime 9-5 and one afternoon 12-8). Approximately 6-8 hour days, but there is some flexibility to this. Training would start a few days at the beginning of February, again, dates are flexible. Those with rehab experience would be granted more independence on the job.

The candidate would be responsible for providing laser therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, TENS/NMES, and PEMF therapies. They would also run the underwater treadmill, set up and take down rehab equipment and assist patients with rehab exercises. Client communication, booking appointments, as well as set up and clean up of the rehab centre.

This position is a great way for RVT’s interested in rehab to add to their skills. The position will run as a paid internship, as cases will be discussed and candidates will be shown how to do gait assessments, palpation skills, and learn when and why to offer certain treatments/exercises for patients based on each case.

Those with rehab experience can practice their skills and learn further as well as have the opportunity to work in a fun environment!

Candidates will work along side Jen, the owner whom is an RVT, CCRP, and also a certified osteoarthritis case manager and canine massage therapist.
