Burlington Veterinary Emergency & Referral Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated RVT to step into our RVT Team Lead role within our Emergency Service.

This is a dynamic, well-supported position that blends hands-on clinical work with dedicated administrative time, ensuring you have the capacity to lead effectively and make a meaningful impact. You’ll be surrounded by a strong leadership ensemble and collaborative team environment, allowing you to focus on what matters most in your role.

What You’ll Be Part Of
You will work alongside a welcoming and collaborative leadership group, including:

  • ACA Lead
  • CSR Lead
  • Triage Lead
  • Inventory Technician
  • Equipment & Specialty Coordinator
  • Specialty Team Leads
  • Training & Development RVT

 

You’ll also have the support of our Senior Leadership Team, particularly for escalated matters, conflict resolution, and strategic guidance—we are here to help support and grow your career while offering clear guidance to help you develop your leadership skills.

About the Role

This position is ideal for an RVT who:

  • Is an RVT with 3+ years of experience (preferred)
  • Has previous leadership experience or a strong desire to grow into a leadership pathway
  • Wants to contribute to the growth and success of our amazing RVT team!
  • Thrives in a fast-paced emergency setting
  • Is passionate about supporting our people, our patients and our clients through operational and leadership strategy.
  • Demonstrates strong anesthesia, lab, technical and nursing care skills
  • Is highly organized, with the ability to prioritize effectively and help elevate team performance
  • Communicates clearly and professionally

  • Help ensure consistency in patient care and workflow efficiency
  • Support staffing, team coordination, and day-to-day operations
  • Uphold hospital policies, standards, and budget expectations as outlined by our SLT
  • Coordinate with our Training and Development RVT to ensure your team is confident in their skills and knowledge as RVTs!
