Job Title:  Registered Veterinary Technician

Location: Bellamy Lawrence Animal Hospital, Scarborough

Salary: $20-25/hour (Based on Experience)

Job Type: Full-time

Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend

Hours: 40 hours per week (8-hour shifts) M-F 8A-8P SAT 8A-7P SUN 8A-5P

Bellamy Lawrence Animal Hospital in Scarborough is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced RVT to join our team as a “Treatment RVT”. We are looking for an individual who is skilled in running diagnostics, comfortable with a variety of tasks, and has a passion for providing excellent care to our animal patients.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic procedures including X-rays, bloodwork, urinalysis, cytology and run laboratory tests.
• Work alongside a dedicated technician assistant to efficiently perform tasks.
• Conduct nail trims, anal gland expression, and other routine procedures.
• Occasionally explain diagnostic procedures and treatment plans to clients.
• Assist with technician appointments and support the veterinary team as needed.

Requirements:

• Must have Registered Veterinary Technician certification
• Experience with Avimark software is a plus.
• Proficiency in diagnostic procedures including X-rays, bloodwork, and urinalysis.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and the veterinary team.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work day shifts, evening shifts, and weekends as required.
