Join our privately owned, established companion and exotic veterinary hospital. Fully equipped with fully body digital x-ray, ultrasound, dental suite with digital dental x-ray and newly renovated surgical suite. We are seeking a licensed (RVT), compassionate professional to provide exceptional care to our clients and their pets.
Requirements:
*Must be a graduate from an accredited veterinary technician program
*Registered with the OAVT or eligible for registration for new graduates
The role includes all RVT duties such as:
- intravenous catheterization
- administering IV, IM and SQ injections
- collecting blood samples
- lab work (bloodwork, urinalysis, cytology, fecal flotation)
- drug calculations
- anesthesia induction and monitoring
- patient restraint
- surgery prep and recovery
- dental prophy and polishing
- attending to in-hospital patients
- overnight on-call and patient check ins
Responsibilities:
- Familiarity with safety and compliance regulations in a hospital environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Able to follow established protocols and safety guidelines during all hospital procedures.
- Maintain diagnostic equipment and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to provide quality patient care.
