The Position
As an Inside Territory Manager, base in the Burlington office you will combine your customer experience, virtual sales, and strategic business planning skills to support veterinary practices across Canada. You will engage clients virtually while supporting key accounts, conferences, and strategic initiatives. You will be a trusted advisor, product expert, and relationship builder who helps veterinary teams succeed while contributing to Aventix momentum in ophthalmology, nutritionals, dentistry, and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Growth
– Achieve annual sales objectives for key Aventix products and increase market penetration.
– Build and maintain territory plans, adjusting quickly to changing market conditions.
– Monitor sales performance, outreach metrics, order volume, and ROI of promotional activities.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Building
– Build trusting, value-driven relationships with veterinary clinics within assigned Territory.
– Deliver accurate product presentations, virtual CE sessions, and solutions tailored to clinic needs.
– Demonstrate exceptional listening skills and a consultative sales approach.
– Uphold Aventix commitment to ethics, regulatory compliance, and veterinary community support in every interaction.
Product & Industry Expertise
– Maintain expert-level knowledge of Aventix specialty product lines (Ophthalmology, Nutritionals, Dentistry).
– Stay informed on competitor offerings, market trends, and developments.
– Identify new opportunities and gaps that drive growth within the territory.
Territory & Technology Management
– Strategically manage a national virtual territory through CRM platforms and digital tools.
– Document accurate, detailed notes for every customer interaction.
– Plan and execute outreach campaigns and follow-ups that deliver consistent customer experience.
Conference, Travel & Collaboration
– Attend relevant conferences, training sessions, and sales meetings as required.
– Partner closely with cross-functional colleagues, sharing insights and contributing to a high-performing team culture.
– Support customer service and business continuity initiatives to ensure no clinic is left behind.
Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree or Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) diploma preferred.
– Minimum of 1 year of sales experience, ideally in the animal health or medical industry.
– Strong virtual communication skills and confidence using digital platforms for client engagement.
– Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
– Growth mindset, coachability, and drive to exceed performance targets.
– Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and CRM systems.
– Ability to travel for conferences and internal meetings.
– Must be able to commute to our Burlington, ON office. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
– Bilingual (French) would be an asset, although not mandatory.
