Primary Responsibilities:
The Hospital Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the clinic’s administrative operations. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief of Staff to maintain the cultural, financial, and overall well-being of the clinic and team. In conjunction with this, the Hospital Manager is responsible for:
Overseeing daily operations, ensuring a steady workflow and proper appointment scheduling
Managing staff schedules, payroll, and vacation requests, ensuring that the clinic is adequately staffed
Maintaining clinic policies, including but not limited to: controlled substance logs, health and safety compliance, and AAHA requirements
Monitoring and overseeing clinic equipment maintenance, including phones, computers, dental machines, anesthetic machines, etc.
Managing the clinic’s budgeting and finances, including monitoring monthly expenses and accounts receivable
Providing support to front desk staff, RVTs, and doctors as needed
Resolving client concerns or public relations issues in a timely manner (e.g., Google reviews, complaints, praise)
The ideal candidate will possess primary management experience. Experience working in veterinary medicine or a similar field will be considered an asset.
Hours and Availability:
Armitage Animal Clinic is open from 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Fridays. Flexibility with morning and evening shifts is required.
