LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
1) Identify early behavioural warning signs and implement effective screening strategies during routine veterinary appointments.
2) Communicate treatment recommendations to clients, including when to choose supplements versus medications, and how to discuss options such as fluoxetine (Reconcile) and clomipramine (Clomicalm).
3) Develop structured follow-up and reassessment plans for patients receiving behavioural medications, including how to manage perceived treatment failure and determine when therapy should be adjusted or escalated.
