Job Functions

  • Perform all duties in accordance with hospital medical policies & procedures
  • Veterinary office management & optimizing patient medical records
  • Client service; counsel clients on preventative health care; booking & scheduling appointment; giving quotes; make follow-up calls
  • Patient triage, check-ins, perform CPR; administer fluids/treatments, anesthesia as prescribed by veterinarian; monitor patients under anesthesia during surgery & recovery; maintain patient & drug records
  • Assist during health exam; anesthesia/surgery; dentistry; collect body fluid samples & perform medical/laboratory procedures; take radiographs
  • Keep operating room stocked & prepared for surgery; maintain inventory of all supplies
  • Admit & discharge patients on the doctor’s orders, explains dosage/purpose of medications; reinforce on care & procedures to be followed at home
  • Maintain infection control; keep veterinary facility clean, tidy, odor free
  • Maintains positive, cooperative relationships with other employees; assist other staff members as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned
