We are looking to hire a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our veterinary team and fill a current vacancy. The right applicant will possess the technical and soft skills to succeed in a clinic rooted in gold standard compassionate veterinary care.

Martindale Animal Clinic is an AHAA accredited small-animal clinic, serving the area for the past 30 years. While the majority of our patients are cats and dogs, we also routinely provide care to pocket pets, rabbits, and birds. Our clinic has full in-house IDEXX labs, digital dental xray, seperate surgical and dental suites, and handheld POCUS.

We use our RVTs to their maximum skill potential – this is a highly engaging role with room to grow and learn from a supportive team. New grads are more than welcome to apply and will receive stable mentorship to further develop their technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for surgery, and anesthetic monitoring during procedures
  • Collect, prepare, and run samples for laboratory testing
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
  • Provide compassionate care and support to all patients
  • Maintain detailed medical records of all treatments and client communications
  • Educate pet owners on post-treatment care and medication administration
  • Follow-up with clients to assess treatment success, and client satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician – new grads welcome!
  • Compassionate attitude towards pets and their people – willingness to go the extra mile for our above average clientele
  • Ability to work as a part of a highly interconnected team – culture is important to us
  • Excellent communication skills and patience
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be willing to become Fear Free Certified (cost covered)
