Hawkins Animal Hospital is a privately owned practice, established in 1998 and we are located in the attractive heart of downtown Milton. In 2023 we moved to this new location, having renovated a large century home, creating a new, modern and well equipped facility.
Position: We are looking for a Part-Time RVT to join the existing team of veterinary staff, which comprises of an RVT, supported by full-time and part-time Veterinary Assistants.
Schedule: 20 to 25 hours per week. To include some Saturdays (9 to 3pm.)
To be mutually beneficial to both parties, the applicant’s availability would be taken into consideration so as to complement their availability with our practice needs. Flexible scheduling is a definite consideration.

Responsibilities: Expertise will include surgical prep, surgical assistance, dental and anaesthetic duties. Monitoring of patients, nursing care. Digital radiographs and digital dental radiographs, in-house laboratory equipment, blood analyser, client education. Knowledge of Avimark software, although training can be given.
Requirements: Excellent communication skills with clients and staff and must be a team player. Experience an asset, although new graduates are welcome to apply. Availability within normal daytime hours and Saturday mornings 9am to 3pm.

Pay will be commensurate with your Technical, Surgical and Nursing expertise and experience, within a range of $22 to $30.00 per hour.
