Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Full-Time | Small Animal Practice | Eastern Ontario
$26.00–$35.00 per hour (based on experience)

Our well-established small animal practice in Winchester, ON is seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our supportive, collaborative team.

Schedule & Work-Life Balance
4–4.5 day work week
34–39 hours per week
Participation in a rotating schedule including:

One evening shift per week (until 7:00 PM)
Saturday mornings (8:00 AM–12:00 PM) on rotation, closed on Saturdays of long weekends

About the Role
As an RVT in our practice, you will play an essential role in patient care, anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, client communication, and overall hospital efficiency. Our clinic is a busy environment, and we value team members who demonstrate strong attention to detail in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a calm and compassionate approach to patient care.

Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures
Administer and closely monitor anesthesia
Perform dental prophylaxis and dental radiographs
Take and process radiographs
Collect and run laboratory samples
Provide attentive nursing care to hospitalized patients
Maintain thorough and accurate medical records
Educate clients on preventive care, medications, nutrition, and post-operative instructions
Support a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment

Qualifications
Registered (or eligible for registration) with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians
Graduate of an accredited Veterinary Technician/Technology program
Strong anesthesia and patient monitoring skills
Excellent communication and client service skills
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care
