Schedule: Shifts are designed to provide flexibility and variety, with durations ranging from 10 to 12 hours. The schedule includes a mix of daytime, evening, and overnight shifts, rotating regularly to ensure a balanced workload that accommodates the team’s needs.

Alta Vista Specialty & Emergency is excited to welcome a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to our team of skilled veterinary professionals. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside and support our board-certified specialists, gaining valuable experience and knowledge in a collaborative environment. While our network is large, we still offer that local community feeling, mentorship, and additional training!

Our ICU team members are the superstars of all things patient care-related. These caring and dedicated individuals ensure that all hospitalized patients are treated like one of their own during their stay.

• Have completed a Veterinary Technician program.
• Surgical preparation, assisting and patient recovery.
• Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records.
• Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients and their pet parents
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude, including the ability to ask clarifying questions to facilitate effective solution-finding
• Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents.

About us:  Working with our Critical Care team, the ICU members care for patients from our ER and specialty departments. Our board-certified specialists provide care in surgery, behaviour, anesthesia, dentistry, critical care, internal medicine, and ophthalmology and have access to on-site MRI, Fluoroscopy and CT diagnostics. With a dedicated staff of 160, including 30+ veterinarians, we offer excellence in veterinary medicine because we are passionate about what we do!
